Who are YOUR heroes? Inside Comics celebrates Bob Marley’s birthday

Bob Marley

Where J was sitting when he typed this post.

Nelson Mandela, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Nesta Robert Marley OM.

I was raised on Bob Marley’s Legend album.  Listening to it in the car brought up feelings of freedom, creativity, and connectivity.  It was a force that could bring an end to injustice, save lives, and bring out our own God-given powers for good. The very things that embody great works of art, are the same things that make us call someone a HERO.

Whether it be music, painting, or writing, this freedom fighter left a legacy with his art that has stood the test of time and altered our consciousness for the better.  Fictional heroes permeate our culture, but they can never come close the real ones that walked this planet. Bob Marley, your legacy of music for truth, justice and love live on. You truly are one of my heroes.

Thank you, Bob Marley. One Love.
