An independent comic book project is the answer to a man’s battle with OCD as well as a social commentary on today’s political climate.

Mental health issues affect one in five of us here in the U.S. And being that this week is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, (May 11th-17th) it’s only appropriate we talk about the lunacy that goes on where we live; whether that be in our homes, or in our heads.  Let’s take a look at Jaime Me’s Queen.Caucus

It seems like I continue to have the fortune of meeting creative people making comic books, who are just as much characters themselves.  Jaime Me is worth learning about, and the Queen Kickstarter is one of the most professional assembled.  Team

A quick glance at the art and one wouldn’t believe it, because it’s a book that looks beautiful.  Inside is a story by Jaime Me that depicts some unsightly machinations, fears that real British citizens are dealing with right at the moment you read this.

The hashtags, #EndAusterityNow, #ToriesOutNow will give one a clear picture of the feelings a certain amount of British citizens have toward the country’s conservative party’s agenda.  And the threat they see towards it’s beloved Nominated Health Services (NHS) that grants citizens like Jaime Me, access to free expert health care.522d3f2e8101e778fe299127a225c36c_original

Queen is an upcoming coming by writer Jaime Me and a group of very talented artists and colorists that reflect a story encompassed by the fears of a people today, and a comic that tells a story so close to home for so many.

Check back for interviews with Jaime Me and the Queen team.  As well as updates on Queen.  And don’t forget to back the Queen Kickstarter!

It’s 2015 and Britain is nearing a general election, tempers are flaring and the country cannot shake off the feeling that Prime Minister Daniel Camden isn’t the honest character he would have you believe. Continued rumors of corruption, plans to privatize the Nominated Health Service (NHS) and difficulties connecting with the people of his country are not helping his case for a second term in power. All of this eventually leads to a tragedy that will shape the country’s political landscape for generations. The question everyone wants to know is ‘who killed Camden?’

The Kickstarter is carefully planned for a first time creator, but as a result Queen Part One will be an extremely limited print.
